What is Voice 4 Action?

Voice 4 Action is a 12-month creative engagement programme for care experience individuals between the ages of 18 to 25 years. Our programme centred around well-being, peer mentoring, paid work experience and promotion to access creative opportunities in and around Hackney, Newham and Tower Hamlets.

We understand that leaving the care system can be challenging, stressful and isolating. We know that many care experience individuals experience doubts and anxieties when accessing services available to them.

We aim to support care experience individuals to gain tools to support them better navigate independent living, grow confidence, raise their positive well-being and make informed career choices.

We believe everybody should have access to creative opportunities no matter their experiences or background.

We believe everybody should have a chance to be great.

Eligibility

Are you care experience between the ages 18 to 25?
Based in Hackney, Newham and Tower Hamlets?
Are you struggling find to work or training?
Do you want to be heard and valued in space that understands you?
Do you want to find ways to better navigate your wellbeing, grow your personal network, all whilst discovering your creative abilities and strengths?
Are you interested in film, media or creative careers?

We offer our sessions both online and in person.
We offer one to one support and mentoring to help you navigate the challenges of independent living.
We offer career information, advice and guidance to help you kick start your creative careers.
We offer well-being workshops.
Have a chance to earn over £400 with our work experience opportunity.
We support you to access further job and training opportunities.

How do I sign up?

We want to make it easy for everybody.

There are 3 ways you can sign up for this opportunity.

1. Send us a quick video- tell us about yourself and why you would like to be on The Voice 4 Action programme. (Video should not be no longer than 1 minute) info@calling4gr8tness.org

2. Send us a voice note via our WhatsApp- with why you would like to join our programme, your contact details and a little bit about yourself. (WhatsApp – 0737766425)

How much time would I need to commit to the programme?

You will need to have availability minimum 4 hours per week.

What do I need to have to complete the Voice 4 Action programme?

You need to have access to the internet and equipment to join our online sessions. We need your full comitement through out the duration of the programme.

Can I still join if I'm not 18 yet?

We can consider applicants who are under 18, however we will need to seek permission from your legal guardian.

If I don't get a space on the programme would there be any other opportunities?

Yes, we work with many organisations and services who are committed to supporting your needs. we can help you access these services.
